Seems simple, right? Yet, something so natural can be challenging when stressful moments and anxiety hit. The practice of breathwork has been used for centuries to recalibrate and center our minds.

Bringing attention to your breath activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which reduces cortisol levels and signals the body to relax.

The next time you're experiencing an anxious thought, try the following:

  • Sit down

  • Plant your feet

  • Bring attention to your breath. Inhale through your nose for 4 breaths.

  • Exhale slowly for 4 counts.

  • Allow your shoulder to drop
